About Us

Established in 2005, the DAP Student Club (DAPSC) is a student-run organization connecting students with members of the accounting world to equip them with the right information and direction to secure a career in the accounting profession upon graduation.

The Club assists firms, associations, and others to meet their recruiting, networking, and informational objectives. We facilitate the recruiting process for the firms and our members by offering a variety of networking opportunities including CPA firm office tours, the Casino Night, information sessions and other CPA events. We also hold social events for our members to relax and have fun.

Furthermore, we are a student information center for the three professional accounting designations. We are here to answer any questions our members may have regarding their accounting courses, the accounting profession and prospective employers.

The DAPSC continues to expand and serve the growing community of DAP students and graduates. We are constantly evolving as we respond to changes in the recruiting environment. We will present a variety of dynamic and creative events each year for you to learn about the accounting profession and interact with members of the professional community.

We encourage students, local firms and businesses to contact us to discuss how the Club can help you with your career or recruiting needs. For more information, please contact us at ubcdapsc@gmail.com.

  • If you are inquiring about volunteering for the Club, we thank you for your interest. At this time, we do not require any student volunteers to help out. If we do in the future we will inform the student body via email. Thank you for your understanding.
  • If you are inquiring about joining the DAPSC executive team, please note that we accept applications around February or March of each year, so please keep an eye out for details at that time. Please do not repeatedly email us about joining the executive team, as that will not give you any advantage when the time comes for us to take applications. Thank you for your understanding.

  • To provide a platform through which the relationships between students and members of the professional accounting community can be fostered and strengthened on a continuing basis.
